- 2 bags (11 oz) of semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1/3 cup raw hazelnuts
That’s it. A couple of bags of chocolate morsels and some raw hazelnuts. I told you this was a simple recipe!
Then you can follow these simple steps
Preheat your oven to 350F degrees (175C) and then spread your raw hazelnuts out on a baking sheet and roast them for about 10 minutes.
Once they’re nicely roasted take them out and let them cool for about 5 minutes.
Next, you need to pour the hazelnuts into a clean tea towel and shake them around until all of the skins fall off.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it to one side.
Now it’s time to melt the chocolate morsels. You can do it in the microwave in 30-second bursts. Stir the chocolate in between bursts but don’t forget to take the spoon out of the bowl!
If you don’t have a microwave you can melt the chocolate by placing it in a glass bowl over a pan of water on the stove.
Once the chocolate has fully melted, pour it into your lined baking pan and spread it out.
Now sprinkle your hazelnuts over the top of the chocolate.
Place the tray in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Be patient, the chocolate needs to set!
Once the chocolate has set simply break it into pieces and serve.
Now you can see how simple the recipe is you can go to town making up your own barks with different candies, fried fruits and nuts.
